For the Time Being

Am I Home?

The concept of home has always been an open ended statement for me, as staying in one place has never been an accurate depiction of my lifestyle. If country, community and place changes so frequently what can be held onto? What is constant? In this series ‘For the Time Being’ I explore the notion of home being a mindset instead of a physical place. I attempt to remove the ownership of belonging looking at the holistic relationship between myself and my landscape. This series took place all throughout the UK as I traveled from the bottom to  top with my medium format camera, moving through the landscape assimilating into new environments even though I had no tangential relationship to them. Travelling with the recursive object of a mirror, I reconstructs parts of my landscape creating images with multiple compositions and perspectives in order to reflect fragments of my being.
